Entry 6 · Onboarding
What Onboarding Actually Taught Me
The most useful part of onboarding was learning that WordPress.com and WordPress.org are not the same thing. WordPress.com hosts this site. WordPress.org is where the open-source project, contributor profile, translation tools, and community teams live.
I also learned that submitting a translation does not make it final. Suggestions wait for volunteer editors, and that review can take time.
The least enjoyable part was creating and connecting several accounts. Still, once that was done, the rest of the project became much easier to understand.
