Before this project, I had used WordPress sites but had never built one for a course. I expected the setup to be quick. It was not. WordPress.com, WordPress.org, Learn WordPress, and the contributor account all look related, but they do different things and use different login pages.

Once the site was online, its purpose was simple: keep the project links and the required reflections in one place. My first version technically worked, but it looked like an untouched template and made the posts hard to follow. I later rebuilt it with a real home page, a separate post index, and shorter navigation.

The useful lesson was not “how to make a perfect website.” It was learning the difference between pages for permanent information and posts for dated progress.
